The Salvation Army

You can start your tour by visiting the Salvation Army, just down the street! They are open Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm and have something for everyone from furniture to footwear! If you are in town for your pet’s appointment on a Wednesday…everything EXCEPT furniture is HALF-PRICE!

Wow! Go get those bargains!$

Diversity Thrift

1407 Sherwood Ave, Richmond, VA 23220

When you leave the Salvation Army, turning right onto Hermitage Rd will point you towards your next stop…Diversity Thrift! They are open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm. Be sure and look up at the board in the main room to see which colored tags are 10% off, 20% off…etc. Diversity is the largest of these five Thrift Stores so be sure and explore all of the rooms!

 

Fantastic Thrift

1914 W Main St, Richmond, VA 23220

When leaving the Salvation Army, turning right onto Hermitage Rd points you towards Diversity Thrift, however, turning left onto Hermitage points you toward Fantastic Thrift! (named for the neighborhood it is located in…The Fan)

When traveling south on Hermitage, the road’s name changes to Meadow St. when you cross over West Broad Street. Stay on this street to reach the Fantastic Thrift store, open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am until 6 pm. Whew!…are you tired yet? Well hang on…we still have two more to go!

The Clothes Rack

2618 W Cary St, Richmond, VA 23220

When leaving the Fantastic Thrift, turn right onto Main St. Continue on Main (in the right hand lane) until you reach Mulberry St where you turn right. This will take you to Cary St and The Clothes Rack Thrift Store run by the Junior League of Richmond!

Just like at Diversity, be sure and look up at the board to see which colored tags are on sale. You can frequently find designer bargains here!

Goodwill Second Debut

3114 W Cary St, Richmond, VA 23221

Just 4 blocks away on the same street, you will find the Goodwill Second Debut Thrift Store in the heart of Carytown! It may be easiest to just walk there from The Clothes Rack as Cary Street is one way going in the opposite direction. If you want to drive, your phone can get you there with a few turns.

This Goodwill is special…it has all of the best things collected from the other Goodwill locations in the region for a one stop shop of their very best wares! …OK, are you hungry after all of that thrifting?
