Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Provide friendly, quality care to our clients. Provide and maintain a high standard of patient care, including but not limited to: 
  • Place IV catheters 
  • Assist in inducing and maintaining patients under sedation and/or anesthesia 
  • Prepping and assisting with surgical patients  
  • Perform dental procedures, dental radiographs, and dental charting 
  • Oversee surgical recoveries 
  • Discharging patients from the clinic 
  • Fill prescriptions 
  • Draw blood 
  • Recognize and relay to DVMs if evidence of pain, distress, or other patient concerns 

Qualifications: 

  • Must be a credentialed Veterinary Technician with active state license, or student of an accredited Veterinary Technology program 
  • Minimum 1(one) year professional experience in small animal clinical setting 
  • Shows effective communication with clients and staff members 
  • Has knowledge of drugs and their dosages/uses required 
  • Can safely lift objects or pets of at least 50lbs (with assistance) 
  • Has ability to work with or without direct supervision 
  • Restrains cats and dogs of any temperament 
  • Makes conversions and calculations 
  • Adapts to different needs and preferences of different doctors
